My Bio
Robert Fenwick May, Jr. started scribbling at a young age. A few words of encouragement from his dad and an inspirational gift, of a book by Frank Frazetta, from his late mother were all he needed to ignite a life-long passion for art.

Growing-up in Baltimore, Robert turned the tragedy of his mother’s death into a positive experience by putting his modest inheritance toward the dream of a semester at the Maryland Institute College of Art. Unable to afford to continue at the Institute Robert spent most of his young adult years hunched over a drafting board honing his drawing skills. Later, his love for life and nature lead him to pursue a degree in Biology. All-the-while scribbling in the corners of notebooks during lectures; he earned his degree and became a high school Biology teacher. He continues to share his reverence for life and passion for nature with his students.

Fortunate to be living in Baltimore City, Robert spends whatever free time he gets at the Walters Art Gallery marveling the great masters. In his spare time he creates beautiful drawings like those you see in this collection of trees. These trees are a culmination of his imagination, love of nature, and study of botany. His sincere wish is that you will take pleasure in viewing them and he hopes that they will spark something in your imagination.

A true renaissance man, Robert was awarded a 2nd degree black belt by the Chinese Self-Defense Association, has studied classical music and guitar, practices the art of Bonsai, and has completed advanced degree course work in Education.

Well, it's copyrighted and now published here for prints.  I will sending a copy to Mark Farina in hopes that he will consider putting in on his next Mushroom Jazz album cover...  you can only knock on the door.  I listened to pretty much but nothing but that funky music the entire time I worked on it.  I love that mix of hip/hop/jazz/fusion he creates.  I am also working on getting them on t-shirts this weekend.  We will see how that goes.  I will also work on the 3rd and final version of the chrome logo in painter and then create a small animation of it transitioning from each incarnation and some small effects of light and electricity with

Diving deeper into Painter 12.  Totally inspired by Android Jones.  Says he dreams in Painter now.  Amazing.  His work is incredible.  I have finally finished the HookaPillar.  Took me a year.  I have learned so much about the program.  Lot's of frustrations and revelations.  I still have so much more to learn.  I am watching videos daily on how to manipulate the program, trying to get into a grove, a work flow.  Finally did my signature in Chrome, have been wanting to do that for years.  I did the base work in a weekend and the coloring in an evening.  If I would have had to airbrush it, it woulda been a nightmare and I would have only done
